Salut Harald, bonjour Mr Guyomard,
Originally, the postman's designators were created for the postmen of the Petite Poste de Paris in 1760, it was an individual stamp that identified the person responsible for collection or distribution.
From 1849 onwards, its role was to identify a distribution during a round before the postman returned to the office.
The top number indicates the home office and the bottom one the postman's call sign.
In this case, this stamp was affixed by the postman at the distribution office to mark a trace of the search for a recipient. As we can see from this letter originally destined for Paris and redirected to the new address in Switzerland.
Que la force soit avec toi !!!
