Was there a special postage for de Switzerland? Vielen Dank im Voraus.
Nice recommended stationery from Tonbridge in Kent, UK for Brunnen in Switzerland with arrival stamp of september 1st, 1983. It's the postage I have a problem with. As of February 15th, 1971, the UK adopted the decimal system, £1 = 100 Pence. This stationery has a postage of £1 and 48 Pence, which makes a total of 148 Pence. On August 30th, 1983, the overseas rate was 20½ pence up to 20 grams for international mail, plus an additional £1 (100 Pence) for registered, giving us a total of 120½ Pence. For mail up to 60 grams, the postage rate was 35 Pence, plus 100 Pence for registered. I think there is a problem here. Is it a weight problem or a pricing problem? I hope to receive an answer that will make me learn a little more. Was there a special postage for de Switzerland? Thanks in advance.
