La Poste rend hommage à Erckmann-Chatrian. Le timbre sera disponible en avant-première à Phalsbourg le 20 mai 2022

Vendredi 20 mai, les philatélistes et les amateurs d’ Émile Erckmann et Alexandre Chatrian ont rendez-vous à l’hôtel de ville de Phalsbourg, de 9 h à 17 h 30. Un timbre consacré au duo d’écrivains y sera vendu en avant-première. Le timbre reprend une illustration humoristique qui date de 1876. Elle avait été dessinée par le journaliste Charles Gibert-Martin (1839-1905), originaire de Gironde. Cet hommage représente les écrivains sur une pile de livres constituant leurs différents écrits. À leurs pieds est déposée une couronne de laurier. Outre le dessin, Charles Gilbert-Martin a écrit et peint des natures mortes.

Am Freitag, den 20. Mai, treffen sich Philatelisten und Liebhaber von Émile Erckmann und Alexandre Chatrian von 9.00 bis 17.30 Uhr im Rathaus von Phalsbourg. Dort wird eine Briefmarke, die dem Schriftstellerduo gewidmet ist, als Vorpremiere verkauft. Die Briefmarke zeigt eine humoristische Illustration aus dem Jahr 1876. Sie wurde von dem aus der Gironde stammenden Journalisten Charles Gibert-Martin (1839-1905) gezeichnet. Die Hommage zeigt die Schriftsteller auf einem Stapel Bücher, der ihre verschiedenen Schriften enthält. Zu ihren Füßen liegt ein Lorbeerkranz. Neben dem Zeichnen schrieb und malte Charles Gilbert-Martin auch Stillleben.

On Friday, May 20th, philatelists and fans of Émile Erckmann and Alexandre Chatrian have an appointment at the town hall of Phalsbourg, from 9 am to 5:30 pm. A stamp dedicated to the writing duo will be sold in preview. The stamp takes a humorous illustration dating from 1876. It was drawn by the journalist Charles Gibert-Martin (1839-1905), a native of Gironde. This tribute represents the writers on a pile of books constituting their various writings. At their feet is placed a laurel wreath. In addition to drawing, Charles Gilbert-Martin wrote and painted still lifes.
