Timbre balle de tennis : la poste autrichienne lance une innovation technique
Dominic Thiem, né le 3 septembre 1993 à Wiener Neustadt, a remporté l'US Open en 2020 et a atteint la troisième place au classement mondial du tennis masculin. La Poste autrichienne a choisi l'athlète comme motif du nouveau timbre spécial de sa série "Innovations techniques".
Le cachet a la forme et la couleur d'une balle de tennis et est fabriqué en feutre. La société Variuscard de Vienne, spécialisée dans les cartes en plastique, a été chargée de produire ce timbre inhabituel. Le matériau de base a été découpé manuellement au format de feuille approprié et imprimé en sérigraphie sur une feuille avec impression à tamis. Il a ensuite été laminé sur le feutre et enfin découpé au format final avec un cutter numérique. La valeur faciale du timbre est de 7 euros, le tirage de 150 000 timbres en bloc.

Die Briefmarke hat die Form und Farbe eines Tennisballs und besteht aus Filz. Mit der Produktion der ungewöhnlichen Briefmarke beauftragte man das auf Plastikkarten spezialisierte Unternehmen Variuscard in Wien. Das Grundmaterial wurde manuell auf das passende Bogenformat zugeschnitten und mit Siebdruck auf einer Thermosublimationsfolie bedruckt. Anschließend wurde sie auf den Filz kaschiert und zuletzt mit einem digitalen Cutter auf das Endformat zugeschnitten. Der Nennwert der Marke beträgt 7 Euro, die Auflage 150 000 Marken in Blocks.
